Helen B. Radcliff Award -- An award given to
an individual who through individual efforts, enhances
or supports the professional growth of women in
corrections.
Law Enforcement Award -- An award recognizing
an individual or agency employed in the capacity of law
enforcement, who has made a major contribution to
enhancing the effectiveness of law enforcement, and/or
exemplifies the image of professionalism in the criminal
justice field.
News Media Award -- An award recognizing an
individual or organization employed in the news media
who has made a major contribution to enhancing the
public's awareness of corrections issues and goals.
Special Award -- An award recognizing an
individual or agency for making a major contribution
toward furthering the aims and goals of the Washington
Correctional Association through activities performed on
behalf of the association.
Nominations for each of these awards are solicited each
spring. All nominations for these awards must be received by
June 15th of each year. Each nomination must include the the
name of the award being nominated, name of the nominee,
contact information including a telephone number, employing
agency (if applicable), a narrative describing why the
nominee should be selected to receive the award, and the
name and contact information of the person making the
